People mention different pads in different posts but is there a definitive list or something to save everyone gambling their hard earned away ? is there an ultimate pad for a specific rim type ? whats best on Araya's, whats best on Z's, whats best on Tuffs ??

I don't know what's best but, if you score the pad - razor criss-cross lines into it and give it a quick roughing up (not the sweeny way ;D)
It will grip better ;)

I've always found KoolStop pads to be very effective on both Tuff's and alloy rims

for old school rims the brown/orangy Diacompe pads work pretty well, as for Tuffs and Z's? not a lot works on them that well other than the new school clear pads but they squeal like a pig!
For new school rims (or if you don't mind using NS pads on your old school wheels) i like Kool stop eagle 2's :daumenhoch:

I'd rather have decent Endo's and rock walks than pretty brake pads !

bitd when our pads started screaching or failed to work properly we took em off give a rub on the pavement BINGO :daumenhoch:

For Alloy rimz, KOOL STOP EAGLE II SALMON'S :coolsmiley: Grip like no tomorrow, best by far :4_17_5:
