Any thoughts, is it cheaper/better/not worth it to buy rims, spokes, hubs and pay someone to build a set of wheels?
Not BMX related in this first instance unfortunately but i've been scouting about the moutain bike scene and need some new wheels, to buy a wheel set is a bit expensive and you rarely get a match of parts that you want in a package.
anyone on here provide a wheel building service if i provide all the parts, if so how much ?

If you buy all the parts it's actually not that hard to build a wheel and get your lbs to do the final tension which I only pay a fiver a wheel for rather than nearer £20 a wheel to build from a kit of parts.
There are threads in the tech section on here how to do it, so give it a go ;-)

Well bro, I have built all my my spoked BMX wheels and the wheels for wifey's MTB. The MTB needs to be done properly as the hub is offset due to the 8/9 speed sprocket and cassette on the rear.
If you get the parts and post or drop them off to me, I would do it for you for a good price :daumenhoch:
Let me know bro okay :coolsmiley:
Cheers
