Cant believe it...... have just spent the last 3 hours shine siding a rim, was on the last side and finishing with some 1200 wet n dry
I turned the rim over to check it out, and nearly cried................. :'(
Loads of deep gouge's all the way round, must of gone through the bubble wrap it was sitting on! :coolsmiley:
GUTTED! :(

shineside rims still have an anodised clear coating, of sorts.
wet and drying ally rims removes any anodisation, and puts the braking surface back to pure raw alloy. this will clog up your brake pads quicker than a quick thing. dont go planning to pull any big endo's 2ft from a zebra crossing, cos it wont work.
