Hi,
Anyone have a good way of removing the bottom bracket cups from the frame ?
-
Just the same as yer headset my friend, all the rules apply.....
Especially the thumbs one..... ;)

I was wondering if anyone had heated up the frame to make it easier
-
No mate. no need when removing cups. A good hammer strike will do it. You can however, when fitting cups, bring the frame indoors (if it isn't already) and bring it up to room temp, and put the cups into the freezer for a few hours. this will make the fitting a wee bit easier :)

Hit it with the hammer and screwdriver, nothing at first then pop out they came

Happy days, job done.
Now, I would suggest you treat yourself to a proper engineers punch (large). It will help you a great deal as the handle of the screwdriver will absorb a lot of the hammer effort and ultimately make the job harder. The proper punch will transmit the hammer energy straight through to the job.
A worthwhile addition to your toolbox :daumenhoch:
