Post by: Gashead on July 29, 2011, 08:32 PM
He will be there and I can't stop him !

So if you want any gear off Shiners, you best get there early and have a wad of cash

Right I'm fooked off

If deals are gonna be done between him and whoever , why cant they be done away from MK ???

Once a fooking year we  ( bmx lovers , builders ) get a chance to meet up buy bits, drink beer and talk shite ....

Telling everyone to " get there early " just isn't right !

I never rant on RAD but this really fooking pisses me off . It's like rubbing our noses in it that some rich over priced  :Aresehole: has first choice over bits for sale .

 The end .

And what do you suggest I do Carl ?

It's an event open to everyone !

I could have said nothing, but decided to be honest and tell everyone as soon as I found out!

The suggestion of getting there early is a heads up mate !

I'm quite happy to tell him to do one, but I don't own this site, so not my shout, however if I did, I would  :daumenhoch:

Feel free to send him emails folks and tell him how you all feel - don't take it out on me, I have enough on my plate !

sorry lads but i totally agree, you can stop him by saying he's not welcome, it's a weekend for all rad members.

friends ect who look forward to buying selling swapping ect, for one weekend of the year that the rad guys meet

up show builds and just have a good time,  not a business weekend,  honestly if i owned rad he would be

banned  end of and would have been told through clear cut emails or even a phone call :daumenhoch:

Surely the Shiners stall does not have to sell to him ????  They can tell him to thuck right off.

Lets face it the stuff Jai has on offer sells anyway so it's not like he's losing out on any sales is it.

tbh this doesnt affect me as i dont buy/collect ect but after reading last years stories it does make

me see red that he, hand on heart knows he's a leach for the mk event and still has the balls to buy out

the stock and fcuking it for all the normal collectors,  and he knows he's not welcome, just my opinion

It's having the choice that make's it real .  ;)

Fair comment !

I was helping out behind the stand at Shiners last year, and he didn't turn up first thing, and there was plenty there for all - in fact I was suprised in what people didn't buy !

In fact Jai took bags of mx1000's, landing gear home with him.

I'm not in anyway sticking up for him, don't get me wrong, but there was plenty of gear there !

Anyhow, I have spoken to Bill and we are on the case lads  :police:

I got there mid/late morning to be told that he'd been through the lot. Landing Gear forks would have looked well on my Ripper build, for one. I did manage to get a pair of Oakley's for a tenner, after he'd tipped the box out on the grass and had his pick. The guy was actually behind the counter going through all the stock. I couldn't tell you what I would have bought 'cause I didn't have a chance to see what was for sale before he turned up and cherrypicked the stock. Having read the pre-MK threads and seen the photos of the Shiner van all loaded up with gear,I was "fired-up" about buying some nos parts at good prices. But it wasn't to be.  :(  Walked away with a sick feeling in my stomach, mate.

at the ned of the day hes there to buy cheap and make a profit he can buy from shiners all year long as he has an account with them but not all gear is for sael/released i believe .he turns up with his cash and to be honest pays the rates .if the items arent sold to him they may sell/may not sell to someone else who knows .in sure jai/shiners wanna release these items once a year for mk vbut at same time make profit themselves so i reckon its kind of fair game in that respect (dont shoot me yet)the thjing that bugs me is he buys loads and then really shafts the selling price up by waaaaay to much for sure .now i used to buy off him in the early days and he used to ride at stockport meets with us but i thiunk he got greedy and thats the bit i dont like .if i saw him at mk i would def say summat to him ie @:do you realise your not welcome to this meet etc on the behalf of most of the memebers on here ,but i reckon he has got so arrogant he would just get his stuff and leave either way or if he is barred from coming he could just send a friend to buy loads gear for him so still get what he wants that way

Biaggio was the talk of mk 10 not to mention the thread after the event itself
tbh if i missed out on stuff because he got in first then so be it i aint gonna lose no sleep over it as its a hobby and i still had a great time
its the fact that biaggio isnt a contributing member to this site that i think is unfair that he swoops in and gets  the loot
in fact he is like swiper the fox out of dora the explorer

if anybody sees him shout "swiper no swiping"  :LolLolLolLol:

i thought this was meant to be a "community" , ie. help each other out  , not rip each other off for profit

so now he has shown that his only interest is to swoop in and buy up all the cheap gear , FFS are the rad members not going to try and stop him ?

ps my comments are based on i dont intend on buying anything so it dont affect me personally its just my outside view on the situation
maybe its not too latye for biaggio to get back involved in bmx roots and actually make a living out of his sales of rare parts as he does but at the same time contribute to the site and give something back to the bmx community as he used to years ago as he wasnt a bad guy at all and he is/was very into the old school scene and not just in it for profit in the beginning

Can't believe a dood trying to scratch a living is getting so much heat.

Is it that we all got ripped off by him at some time or another - probably when we were NoOb? - , and resent him for that?

Check out Tescos / Asda / Sainsburys / Morrisons / Amazon / any Car Manufacturer / in fact any branded company, and the non branded, for that matter/ The Government for that shit....

It's a fact of life, no?

Some people get to buy stuff cheap, and sell it to us for more.

CAPITALISM.

We are all complicit.
I work for a big FMCG company, and you will all be using the stuff we make - BELIEVE - but do you realise what it costs us to make.....

SO YOU CAN BUY IT CHEAP?

Biagio is a parasite - plain and simple, he contributes NOTHING
He is not a SITE SUPPORTER - therefore should not be able to purchase any items being sold by a RAD member
Jai is a RAD member, so NO SALES to Biagio. plain and simple

Biagio could sponsor the event, maybe donate a few prizes from his stock, make friends even - but his greed knows no bounds.

I still recall him boasting he was going to buy up all the stock and hold all OS collectors to ransom?

Maybe there should be a vote on whether he should be allowed to come?

mr clean this goes back a long long time mucka.

Dordy, mate.....

I know; I am just trying to bring some balance to the debate.

I have paid over the odds for stuff from Biaggio.

I have waited weeks for a refund from him when I have returned an item badly described.

I have also bought a million items from a variety of vendors throughout my life, and I respect the profit chain.

If there was a Mr. Asda, or a Mr. Sainsbury, or a Mr. McDonald, turning up at MK11 I imagine you would be bitching on here about them because you bought one of their products?

Try taking your 'copter a little higher......

Out of interest, what did he buy that you would have bought ? As he didn't buy everything on the stand and there was plenty of gear left ?

That's not a sarcastic reply, just interested !
:(  Walked away with a sick feeling in my stomach, mate.

anyone got a link to the piccys of shiners van loaded need to see this :daumenhoch:

Biaggio was the talk of mk 10 not to mention the thread after the event itself
tbh if i missed out on stuff because he got in first then so be it i aint gonna lose no sleep over it as its a hobby and i still had a great time
its the fact that biaggio isnt a contributing member to this site that i think is unfair that he swoops in and gets  the loot
in fact he is like swiper the fox out of dora the explorer

if anybody sees him shout "swiper no swiping"  :LolLolLolLol:
fair play for standing up for the site and its members nick & billy

Dave! PMSL... SWIPER NO SWIPING  :2funny:

tbh though at the end of the day its a shame that after all the trouble that nick and the lads have gone to to sort this lot out and i dare say it takes some sorting out.
that this is gonna be the main topic over the weekend and more than likely after too.

why is one man allowed this much, ?

Why don't everyone just stop buying stuff from him, I suspect most people who buy from him must be on here, he would then have to cut his prices and start living in the real world or am I missing something?

Jon my thoughts exactly - have never bought from him on principle, although I admit it was close when I had every single part for my haro and just needed axle washers before I could ride it (saved by mr voivod  :))

James feel free to claim your free beer on Saturday - along with anyone else who's helped me with bits  :daumenhoch:

I don't really need any more bike parts tbh, as I'm picking up a F+F on the day and building it up (and supposed to be selling the Asco), but the prospect of a potential pre-badger bargain is tempting  ;D

Personally I think the "take what you want B after 3pm Sunday" is the best solution, and could possibly take the heat out of this situation, so we can all get on with getting into the MK love vibe.  :daumenhoch:

Nice thread and all about one person

Right this year will be nothing like last year as we did have quite a lot of high end items, well since mk10 we have
been going through all of our stock and have been listing it on our B2B website for the OS bmx shops like Skatepool
Different path etc to buy off which has been successful. Now as we have been sorting, the items we can't sell on B2B
have been put to one side. So 95% of what we will be selling will be like those boxes we had last year, cheap bars in
need of resto, elina ul seats pitted, odds and sods of brakes the list is endless. So there will be lots of cheap parts aimed
at restoration projects. Biagio knows what we are selling as i told him. We will NOT be bringing any 80's SE frames, Haros
like last year or LG forks.

Nick knows that doing this has cause a lot of stress and i have nearly pulled out because of it
Shiners a very busy company at the moment and believe me if it wasn't for me to get them to
save it and take up valuable space in our warehouse all of it would have been skipped or
weighed in by now.

so you know what we are bringing so lets just enjoy the weekend  :daumenhoch:
