I think this is the guy I got my son's Haro Zippo off; he had the two rare DPs at the time.  Not sure if he is a list member but very nice guy.

I think the Pit and the Mini are worth 1k to the right person but not too sure about the Mk1 as that seems to be a pretty standard bike.

But like you Ed, I could easily add a DP Pit to my collection but cant afford it..

So, come on "teresa2600" - say hi!!   :)

PS: did the Zippo come with a guarantee as its currently got a flat tyre  :D

Would love the pit bike/jnr just for the mini-me value, but not got a spare grand knocking around.  Even looked under the cushions of the sofa.  Nowt.

My sense of perspective would also be thrown right out
