that the adjuster mechanism on mx1000 is made of brass, thats why it tarnishes... :idiot2:
but is the way of taking the black plastic adjuster off the brass bit without distroying it?
-
never actually done it but i would imagine it should pull off with a bit force and hopefully click back on. if you try it don't blame me if it doesn't click into place. :D
-
Sam, is there not a screw under the "semi-automatic" sticker? Or is it just a clip you pull?
-
no spen, dont think so, it must be a push on clip type, but it feels like it will break if i use any more force.....
-
Leave it alone Sam...it dont need painting :LolLolLolLol:
-
i have a fooked one i'll take a look at later (it won't mater if i fook it up even more) :LolLolLolLol:
-
Bring it with you on Satuday Andy, I also have a fooked one so maybe we can make a working one out of them both :2funny:

Yep, and I'm bringing a workmate and a vice to put the jigs in bud, so come on over and have a go with them yourself (we'll be giving lessons) - you know where we'll be :LolLolLolLol:
Oh, the mahoooooosive green gazebo died in the snow-blizzards we had early this year, so it's gonna be a bit kinda Robinson Crusoe like with a combo of tents, gazeebos and trees, washing-lines and anything else we can get our hands on mate in case you're looking for the sleek, organised chaos we had last year  :2funny: :daumenhoch:

ok i popped the metal sticker off and this is what i found, it looks like an outer holding ring has been press fitted to the inner spindle thus holding the adjuster in place
sorry pic is poo

if you try and force it off in any way it snaps the adjuster :(
