Yes was the one on uk ebay
-typically I have waited for ages and 3 came up at the same time
the blue one on museum - he wants about 300 pounds for the frame
the other one on museum= white full bike was 600 dollars
anyways, this one had an ebay reserve of £250
I bid 120, I asked him if he wanted £180, he said £200 - I said yes on condition it had the original forks, he said when he bought it new, those were the forks that came with it
anyways, it was still at his mums in romford and her next door neighbour brought it to clacton for me for free, so I didn't pay any postage
typically it has wrong forks, some old raleight tange ones, from a pro burner.
ho hum, I'll just have to wait and see if some one wants to trade them for some 79-84 3 hole landing gear lites.
not race-inc
cycle pro
or bmx innovations.
or 85 on 2 hole landing gear lites.
but yes, seat tube=perfect
rear drops, nice -well as expected as they arn't chewed up.
slight caliper rub
large chain gouge and various nicks and ting.
I has never had paint on so won't be getting any, will have a scour and a light t-cut, or if I do get some unpainted lites, it will be painted

Nice one Steve... :daumenhoch:
-
Looks great :daumenhoch: always liked pit bikes for some reason, I take it as it's an original 80's one? I always thought they were a new school thing.
-
Still a good buy that pal, you keeping it as a mini Ripper or going down the BD-III route :smitten: :smitten:
-
Nice one Steve... :daumenhoch:
please may I have that loopy floval on the strap
-
I don't really know much about se bikes, whats a bd-III? ???
-
the BD-III was the mini ripper before it eventually became the "mini Ripper". BD-III means "Breithaupt Development III" and Scot designed this in 77 I think, the BD-III was later re named DBIV when Derek Brown joined SE then named the MINI RIPPER after he left.

Ahh right, thanks :daumenhoch:

Any updates on this little Monster??
I am also in the process of building one of these. Its a NOS frameset and hunting parts for it has taken awhile.

When they 'tested' the bike, they didn't use Mini parts other then some smaller SE bars (they look kind of like Maxi bars)
Here is a really good scan of what they tested the bike with... ;)
