Right from the start I appreciate that this is no top spec 80's race bike BUT this is the sort of bike that 75% of kids where riding back in the 80's!!!
I cannot help thinking that most of these people restoring top market GT's, PK's, Haro's etc etc where either from rich families or they are bullshitting because I rode with about 10 lads in the early 80's and the best bike in our group was an Ultra Burner!!!
Anyway onto the bike.............
I've been looking for the right model and year for about 5 years with no success until now.........and I've scored a beauty! This model of Falcon Pro was the very first BMX I ever owned, bought for me by the parents on my 12th birthday!!
May 1983 Falcon Pro Zeta
This bike was found in a garage on the south coast, according to the original owner he bought it for his son, he rode it for 3 weeks! it was then put in the back of the garage and thats where it stayed for 28 years.
Apart from the bolt in the seat clamp it is 100% original with genuine tyres, cables, pads etc etc.
Why have I put it in the race section!!!! Well as a typical kid I played with my original bike and it ended up with CW bars, MX levers, Acorn wheels and Victor pedals..........I ended up a reg racer at Landseer Park in Ipswich, evn racing against Andy Ruffell on occasion.
More better spec bikes followed but the Zeta started it all!
