I got the bike 2nd hand around 1983. It had Kuwahara decals but they looked like they had just been stuck on. It had a nasty welding repair to the seat tube and it’s picked up a dent in the top tube. I would like to rebuild it but I think it will be quite a challenge.

Any idea?
I have had a look through the Museum but no joy.
Thanks Neil

Better than a Kuwi then ;D, well worth repairing V. nice frame.

The next project was this or the Ninja Scootech. I guess that is the decision made then. I will need to find a person to do the frame repairs as it can’t be left like that.
BIG Thanks for answering so quickly. You could have at least made it look like it was a challenge though

As Carl just said, you need to speak to Phil Sawzall about getting that repaired possibly.
Nice find, they are pretty darn rare to say the least!

I was planning to do a cheap resto just to use as a hack, but it looks like that's out of the window now. I feel a bit bad for all the abuse it took when I was 7 now. It lost most of its origenal parts when it got stolen from underneath my mates Kuwahara outside the local shop. Luckly for me I spotted a kid riding it two years later (Thanks to the dodgy welding) and got it back.
