This is not to have a go at anybody's build, I was just thinking about my next build.
I have a midschool Auburn that I am building and it is going to be white and chrome (with a bit of black), I was thinking of putting a white chain on it but I am not sure about that at this time.
I am not talking about the all colour (read sprayed) chains I am talking about an Izumi, Shimano etc ones with the coloured links but the rest of the chain is black.
Opinions please (not that I will take a blind bit of notice of your opinion I will still go my own way ;) )

Same as coloured tyres in my opinion - makes it look like a cheap toy. Black and silver or chrome only for chains.
That is my worry Glen, but I have seen some builds that it looks really nice on.
-
Got a green and silver chain on my Green Master but dont like the single coloured chains
-
I think the sprayed ones look cheap, but the izumi ones look awesome
-
I recon if its for a show bike and sets off the cranks and chainring then why not. I wouldn't have thought they are very practical on a daily rider though
-
I think they look ok Sean, Brett's green one looks the biz. I just got a KMC 'Zebra' for my GT, imo it will look cool against the white f/f and black parts.
-
look good on old school coloured bikes
not so sure on midschool bikes :-\
-
the right colour chain on the right build rocks

A few of my bikes have them . And i think they look cool
Why have colour everywhere else and a dull chain . ???
-
If it suits the build then yes i think they look great especially if it is a Yellow Izumi on a blue GT ;D

the colour/silver izumi's look good but the all colour ones look tacky imo
-
Anybody come across a Green chain made by DID or Izumi ? As I would love 2 find 1 ;) darker green than the lime green ones I have found ::)
-
i tried a "all one colour" chain before and it made it look tacky-a colour and silver looks good though :daumenhoch:

Izumi made a green/silver chain, but not sure of the exact shade.
-
I don't mind them on freestyle but not on a race bikes imo.
-
Izumi's are good in colours, all others suck.
it's sometimes nice to add a bit more colour ;)

Look top, I'd like a chain where every link is a different colour, how ace would that be??

They still make the 'rainbow' ones, probably as close as you'll get. ;)
