Title: Not as advertised
Post by: Gnarlyscoots on August 18, 2011, 09:38 PM
I recently bought 2 sets of these - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280708143910&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123

They arrived like this and the packet is open by the way -

So I sent him this message -

Dear captnniceguy,

Hey dude, got the pads this morning and WTF bro ?? I set of pads in opened packaging and the other set doesn't even have packaging. Not happy BIG time with what ya sold me. I even paid $10 for shipping when shipping was only $5.

Answers bro before I leave you some right old shit feedback.

This is his reply -

Dear .........,

Nice attitude- do you kiss your mom with that mouth? I opened one package to fit it in easier, I didn't think you would care. You are going to open them up putting them on a bike and toss the packaging anyway right? Or did you plan displaying them on your wall like a Picasso or Monet painting? They are not rare vintage antiques so what is with the foul mouth? Shit feedback as you say? Don't you EVER threaten me! You have no idea who you are dealing with Punk! It CLEARLY STATED $10 FOR SHIPPING IN THE AUCTION- THE SHIPPING WAS $5.80, THE BUBBLEWRAP ENVELOPE WAS $2- EVER THINK OF MY TIME AND GAS TO GET TO THE POST OFFICE OR WAITING IN LINE? ARE YOU SERIOUSLY GOING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT A MEASLY $2? SERIOUSLY? IF YOU DID NOT LIKE THE SHIPPING CHARGES THEN WHY DID YOU BUY THEM FROM ME? THERE IS A FREE PICKUP OPTION- WHY DIDN'T YOU COME TO THE UNITED STATES AND PICK THEM UP THEN AND SAVE YOURSELF THE POSTAGE?? What about my time with International customs, the forms, and dealing with all that at the post office over a MEASLY $9 item? I DIDN'T EVEN MAKE ANYTHING OFF OF YOU- THIS IS A LIQUIDATION, YOU PURCHASED THEM AT DEALER COST AND ARE STILL COMPLAINING! THIS IS THE EXACT REASON WHY MOST PEOPLE IN THE USA DO NOT offer INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING!!! NOW LOOSE THE ATTITUDE RIGHT NOW!!! If you are still unhappy then send them back for a full refund. (Even though it CLEARLY states in my auction no refunds) I sell OldSchool BMX bikes for thousands of dollars and have NEVER had a attitude like yours over a measly $10 item. Did you think International shipping was free? Why didn't you buy them local then? I am a good seller with 100% feedback for a reason because I ALWAYS make people happy- but if you give me a attitude like that, then you will make my blocked buyers list and I will boycott you on bmxmuseum, vintagebmx, etc. and REPORT you to Ebay! Or you can stop with the childish baby attitude and we can work this out like adults? Choose wisely what you want to do before responding!

But he shouldn't have sent them like that what the hell was his response about not quite threatening really  :knuppel2: your email must have right Pi55ed him off but his response is well out of order :wtf: :Aresehole:

So now you need to Think Wisely :LolLolLolLol:

Did you check the ebay link ?? It's irrelevent whether I am going to use them or not. Thats my decision and when I purchase new, I expect new in the packet UNLESS otherwise stated, which these were not.

Irrelevent!!

As a seller on ebay, I don't ask the customers if they intend using what I sell or not so I can decide whether to send the packaging. What kind of question is that  :idiot2:

I wouldn't respond mate, be the better person, you got your pads so put it down to experience. I wouldn't leave negative feedback either, like he says, he'll report you and do you really want the hassle over a set of pads?? :daumenhoch:

Personally I would have been a bit more diplomatic when first contacting him, yes they were not ar described but I always would give the seller a chance to rectify the problem before flying off the rails no matter how pi$$ed off I was... then if he comes back unhelpful and generally rude then go back in guns blazing etc etc

tough one - seller sold item not as stated and correct price ?

terry has a potty mouth and i don't know if he kisses his mother with that mouth ?

I would write "very happy with opened packet that cost extra to send, will use again cheers" and leave positive feedback - when ebay ask you to change it say no and say it's true and that you have left positive for him  ;)

failing that, offer him out in a true back street knife fight - tell him your gonna cut him like a pig and that your gonna kiss his momma with your dirty potty mouth and it going to be tongues and maybe more  >:D- see what he has to say to that

 or may not

right melon off, here goes

1.  Melon Off
When two gentlemen, usually heterosexual and inebriated, engage in a competition to see which of the two gentlemen can sustain an errection the longest, with a partially hollowed out melon over their penises.

The first to have their melon drop to the floor is the loser.

I can see that you have reason to be pissed off but the tone of your email was quite aggressive, as others have said it could be a bit more diplomatic :daumenhoch:

I bought a buggy off ebay a while ago, when i got it home an inspected there were marks and a tear in the hood that had not been disclosed.  Polite email sent with pictures and i got an immediate response with an apology that they hadent used it in a while and had listed an old piccie on ebay, refund agreed, end of.

Sometimes the less is more approach works better  :)

Hellboy, I would have tracked you down for speaking to me like that. Fook the cost of the pads I would have been on a BA flight the next day :knuppel2:

Seriously mate, if you buy something to collect and you want the packaging preserved then tell the seller when you pay him, if not you can only expect the goods to arrive intact, packaging is designed to display and protect the item inside.

I would word a very carefull reply, explaining that you was a bit hasty and aggresive in the first email, then explain why your not happy, and try and reach a happy medium.

Failing that nuke the bas tard

Well sad Gary. More white noise over something pointless, yawn fcucking yawn. No wonder the Americans wont send to the UK... Or use this site

Most of them won't ship to the UK because:-

a) they don't want to or can't fill in the customs form and they don't want to stand in line for the lady to do it.

b) they can't track the item and don't want to be ripped off because someone in the UK once put a paypal claim in against a US seller for non-delivery.

c) they are always asked to put the value down as $50 and it's a federal offence, try trying to explain Customs no more know how much 2nd hand bicycle parts are than the man on the moon.

d) they're not too hot on the special relationship (but they do ship to Oz).
