Title: TORKER PRO X
Post by: crazycraig on August 28, 2011, 06:19 AM
I have just purchased this from a guy who's nephew had it as a kid and never used it and gave it to him for his son to ride . It was not his sons cup of tea ..................Hence my purchase .

I have had a few Torker's but always wanted an original chrome one . The chrome on this is perfect and been stored well .The decals have took a bit of bashing but they are staying . This is a true survivor and to find this on my doorstep is a bonus . I have only stripped this down and cleaned . No heavy polishing done . I put the skyways in the dishwasher and they came out mint !!!!!! the numbering on the rim is still visible .

I have used as many of the original parts as possible . I have only added tyres , grips (same as originals ) ,brakes, seat and a padset !!!!

Torker Pro X F&F
Torker 6 bolt stem
Torker padset
Skyway Tuff II with coaster brake
CW Bars
MX900 brakes NOS with Tech III levers and lightening bolt cables
MX seatclamp used to clamp coaster tag
Kashi MX seat  NOS
SR OPC
Tioga spider
DX pedals
CompIII tires
Suntour seat clamp
Sharp BB Boot NOS
Sharp Grips with allen key upgrade ( Snav sold these to me using this as the main selling point )  ;)

awesome craig, i had one bitd, saved my money for ever to get a 280x but the shop didnt have any but had them in, man I feckin hated it so much, worst ride ever, luckily it got run over by a digger and bent the chain stays, so the chain kept jumping off, a mate brought it off me for £1 in 1989, it now lives in australia. i know why its got huge bars on it. felt like you was way over the front. that find pic reminds me so much of mine, black tuffs, white walls, will get some pics up next week
