Didn't really see anyone having a pop at the seller - I think people were more surprised how high the bidding went.

That said, the wheels were on for 7 days but the seller only mentioned that the wheels were repro a day before the auction ended. Listing could have been a bit more clear on this but the buyer should be clued up enough to tell the difference. There are a lot of noobs who like to throw their money around and I guess they're the ones who'd get caught out. :crazy2:

Post by: B17SSY.T.A on August 30, 2011, 05:54 PM: I guess bidders should know a bit more about what exactly they are buying , but must admit after being back after 26 years , BMX has changed a lot , I saw some Graphites here for sale a few weeks ago ( which I bought , From Dale ) and was shocked when I saw the price , I couldnt get my PalPAL details up quick enough ... Then re read the ad , Kool Caps ?? were these fancy valve caps or ?? ... the last thing I knew , back in the 80's these were REAL old school Graphites I was just about to buy .. surely ?? . I didnt realise things had moved on , smaller gold hubs etc , and the demand for the Old School look resulting in the stick over cap .... Dale was Brill and explained things totally , I looked on the Kool Caps web site etc .. and made the decision to carry on with the purchase , and be happy with what I was buying TOTALLY :) ..... My friend was outbid on these wheels at £450 , after seeing mine ( I hadnt told him the price , I would have he just didnt ask lol ) he just had to have a set , thinking like me - at first - these wheels were something they were not , The seller only added that last bit about " not original 80's " after I asked the question about Kool Caps , would he have willingly given that information if I hadnt asked ??? who knows :-\ , If i hadnt known from this site and Dale about the new school graphs and these caps I may have fallen into the same trap ....
I guess the moral of this story is there are newbies out there , who need to catch up things before they go bidding on the bay !!! ...

Right im off to bid £175 for that Landar headset ive had my eye on :LolLolLolLol:
