Would love to build a Kuwi Lazerlite (dream bike BITD) but looking at the costs it might have to wait a while... :D
Great to be on here,
Pij

Thats a very tidy first build :daumenhoch:
Chrome and white looks very clean lines :4_17_5:
But PLEASE change the seat post :daumenhoch:
-
LOL! Yep looking to get a cw cantilever soon! :D
-
Looking good, seat post as mentioned but you should also lower the stem, aside from being flexy you are probably very close to the max height limit and you don't want the stem tearing out from the forks ;)
-
Nice first build mate great feeling isnt it :daumenhoch: what next :LolLolLolLol:
-
Nice job mate, looks good.
Those tyres look ace!
-
Seen a few of these get built on here recently, they are growing on me, nice work. :daumenhoch:
-
I never liked the factory decals these frames were supplied with. Some guys on here had custom decals knocked up and they looked sweet. Should be some pics in the museum section. ;)
Nice build...

Nice build mate, a good place to start off is an aero reflex. But as marty said, lower that stem, it looks like ET peering over a hedge :daumenhoch:
-
What are they tyres ???
And the bars :coolsmiley:
:daumenhoch:
-
Cracking first build mate, I got back into the OS scene with a Reflex also, great bike imo.
I too agree about the stem/post comments mate. :daumenhoch:
-
Great first Build :daumenhoch:
-
Great first build and a good fusion of repop parts :daumenhoch:
-
cheers for all the comments guys, much appreciated! (the stem has been lowered you'll all be glad to hear!) ;D
I'm thinkin along the lines of some reflective style decals (kinda like the old DB viper/silver streak) in red, anyone know if Del does anything along those lines??
The tyres are Kenda (dunno the exact model) and the bars are SE Powerwings to answer the questions above.
I think it cost me about £450ish total
Cheers again,
Pij :coolsmiley:

Nice looking build that mate...great choice of frame too :daumenhoch:
I'm currently building one and am looking at the different options for decals too...mine should be finished in the next week or 2, just waiting for the final few parts to be delivered :)
Just a quick question, did you have to file the front axle bolts on the tuffs to get them to fit the dropouts?
cheers
-
tuffs dropped on just fine, although i'm thinking of cutting the threads down seeing as they stick out so bloody far!! ;)
-
that looks lovely mate,i agree it should have a straight post on it!im completing my first build this week hopefully!if it looks as good as yours ill be chuffed! :daumenhoch:

Check out the cool decals on some of the bikes. I'm guessing they're Del creations?

These white ones would look nice on yours. :daumenhoch:

I think if the Skyways are repop ones built after 2006 ish they came with round axles instead of the older flat axles on the fronts. I'm sure Winstanleys or Chain Reaction Cycles stock the flat axle conversion. :daumenhoch:
Just a quick question, did you have to file the front axle bolts on the tuffs to get them to fit the dropouts?
cheers
-
Yeah, I've got the round axle versions, not really a problem, will just file them a little to clear the dropouts :daumenhoch:
-
get yourselves a nice cheap set of files from aldi ,remove axel easy, wind off one cone then tuther ,stick in a vice with wood or rubber chocks and file about an inch in on both sides , piece of p.ss ;) never done it myself mind, give mine to engineers at work ::)
-
tuffs dropped on just fine, although i'm thinking of cutting the threads down seeing as they stick out so bloody far!! ;)
whack some pegs on em, just like the good old freestyle days 8)
1.5' haro flexfighter for the stem if you want a bit more height :daumenhoch:
nice build by the way, good match of colours, spesh whitewalls and back tuffs :smitten:
-
Few Updates:
New HL Layback and Pro Bars, NOS Scorpion (Haro Tech copy) plate and chucked some donuts on as well! Just wanna add some Flights and she should be all set for the summer.... :smitten:
