Title: Polishing Chrome
Post by: J69 on September 25, 2011, 08:09 AM
Whats the general opinion on the best product to use for polishing a chrome frame & forks? I'm not talking about removing rust or anything, just whats best to polish chrome on a frame thats been sat in a box for the last 26 years.

Cheers

Peek is one of the best chrome polishes out there.  You can usually pick it up in Halfords.

Meguiars is ok and Autosol silver aint bad but i use Peek liquid (not paste in the tube) you need the tin. Or belgum is also a good one.

Autosol - IMO find it better than peek.

Autosol - IMO find it better than peek.
autosol is meant for alloy and is too abrasive for chrome, it will wear it away in the end

Agree with this on the autosol tubed paste but I found the liquid was as mild as peek and ok.

Agree 100% on the Goddards, I also bought the Goddards cleaning paste recently and it makes things shiny as a shiny thing.  :4_17_5:
