Title: New graphite tuffs.....
Post by: pickle on September 26, 2011, 09:17 AM
people who run them, how do they ride?  are they flexy at all?  normal NS tuffs seem to be miles more flexy than old alloy hubbed ones to me and i wondered if the graphites are a POS or would they be okay for riding?  and i mean riding in a park not just cruising along the sea front  :daumenhoch:

might get myself a set for my new beat to give it the Mat Hoffman look of 87 (the only thing that would look like Mat Hoffman when i'm riding it)  ;D

Ask Lenny lentini, he often runs a front graphite, (check the blackpool pics from Friday!)

Don't know whether he ever runs a pair though, might be a bit `normal' for him!!

a bit normal  :LolLolLolLol:

There was a guy running them on his Reflex at the last BR bash and he seemed to be doing okay on them, might give em a go for cruising and the odd sesh......i love my new 48's but street beats just need tuffs on really

I think it's Greame "Wadz" who runs them Rob - have a go on the 8th to see as I'm sure he'll be there jumping the jump-box with his fellow Doncastrian Jim "the big air" Oldtired.

Wadz is down for the boardroom on the 8th Rob  :daumenhoch: ,  they do seem a fair bit stiffer than normal tuffs , assume there a bit lighter as well as they seem to spin up a bit quicker, rotational weight and all that  :daumenhoch:

I thought graphites were made more for racing than park riding, they look the part but dont think they'll handle too well with a 15 stone lump bouncing around on them >:D

i've a couple of pair and i've had no probs with them , i've put a set on my CW California Freestyler and i'll be using that hard ,

Gaz you'll never have any probs with them as you only weigh 7 stone wet through  :2funny: :2funny:   ;)

I had a go riding with a regular Tuff on the front for a while a few years back but the flex was a pain in the arse, i persevered for a few months but went back to spokes eventually
