Ive been offered a bashgard haro shredder from ive been told 1992 its never been ridden but has storage marks what i need to know is whats it worth as the seller wants £250 for it and that seemed a bit rich for what looks a pretty low end bike but what do i know anyone able to help me :)
-
The bashy Sport frames go for £230... last one on Ebay did... it was NOS and boxed though.
Same as the Sport frame but without the peg mounts... £250 sounds good to me but I'm a fan yo
1992 catalog for them here... http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=10354

I'm with Ed.
For £250 it's worth it!

hold on Brother
Take a step back, £250 is a bit pricey (maybe if it's very very goood condition).
To put it into prospective I set this whole S&M Holmes up for around the same price.

even I love a good ol' Haro but by '92 they were laggig well behind firms like S&M and Homeless.
If you really like the Haro that's cool but only offer him £175.
Keep the faith Brothers. L

There was (from memory) a 'top end' Shredder that was full chromo - but yeah - most of em chromolly maintube only :)
And that ads reminded me I need to scan the rest of those Rides....... :-[
-
just looked at that catalouge for 92 and shredders were tri moly, sumo wheels, bulldog brakes, plastic pedals, no name 1 piece crank, haro bars (not kneesavers)
the sport was full chromoly peregrine 48's, acs boa brakes, fusion dx pedals, oddyssey excalibur crank and kneesavers
danny get on it :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:
-
I would but I'm half cut from some fella's leaving do ;) :daumenhoch:
Which reminds me - don't drink and ride kids! :)
-
lol well theres no rush
and when ur drunk u ride kids
-
Ahhh bollocks - hindsights a great thing ;)
And wrong year for me again..... wasn't it the Shredder 'Deluxe' from 97/98 that was chromolly - whoops!
-
:LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:
think the deluxe was 95 ( looks like that what is says in the custom riders ad above and on the google search i just done)
and it wasnt a bashgaurd model anymore just a straight double diamond frame

That's the one - ran until 1998 (and had some weird matt pastel powder jobbie in the later years) and no plaggy coping catcher :)
-
just done some more research on bmx museum and it looks like (and from what i can remember from the early 90's) that the bashguard shredder was only made for one year (1992) before they changed it to a double diamond frame in 1993
