Title: Shine Sides on Chrome Rims ??
Post by: monkian on October 05, 2011, 10:59 AM: Can it be done? I've got some Chrome Araya 7X with a few scrapes on the sides.
I have to move them on but I'm just wondering do I sell as is or maybe tidy them up first?
Would it be a problem over chrome? ???

Post by: meticulous on October 05, 2011, 11:43 AM: think you would really fook them up sanding the sides down.., once the chrome starts peeling off then its a complete strip of all the chrome....

Post by: Dannywhac on October 05, 2011, 11:59 AM: Leave as is I reckon - as said the chrome on the top of the rims will flake when you try and sand em. Also sanding chrome takes a fook load of work :)

Post by: oldtired on October 05, 2011, 12:35 PM: +1 leave em, once you sand of the sides you will create an exposed square edge on the chrome , moisture will get in and its flake city from there on , moisture in the air is enough to start it

Looks like they're destined to be a rider set or full-on resto.
