Title: anyone from essex?

my beer budies dont understand why a 40 year old man builds old skool bmx's...lol...   any like minded peeps from essex?

Nice one fellas, thanks for the replies.   I dont have a bike as such at the momment as I had to reluctantly sell the 2 that I had to help pay for the DB that Im workig on.  Ive fairly recently built a haro master 84 and  supergooese (not quite sure what year - poss 83). 

The haro was the ferrari for me back in the day, never had one but I reached the ripe old age of 38 and I though I need some toys so I built the haro, I was a little dissapointed to see that there is quite a lot of them about, still love it tho. 

The supergoose I bought because it had an early RL flight crank and I wanted the crank for the master.  Ive recently managed to get hold of a harry leary turbo but I had to sell the other bikes to help pay for it.  Its in a bad way and the parts are expensive but am hoping to have it built by jan

Ive only been doing this a little while but Im definately hooked - not sure Im gonna ride the harry so am lookin to built something slightly inferior to muck about on.

My knowledge of the whole scene is not great but I know what I like if that makes any sence.

Im from rayleigh by the way,,,near southend

so any ideas what I coud build for about 300 - 500 ?
