My twelve year old has just come home sweating, with blood dripping from his shin, grazes on his back and a big grin on his face, " what have you been up too" I asked, well dad, me and 6 of my mates have discovered a bit of waste land with some freshly laid dirt on it and we decided to build some jumps!!!!! We got some spades and a wheel barrow and buiit a great run, it's not quite finished yet but we were getting loads of air but it's not smooth enough for you to ride on your "old school" bike yet. I smiled to myself and thought oh to be 12 again, just hope no do gooder moans at them!!!!

UPDATE !!!! Got home from work tonight and the mrs said that the lad had gone out down the track, no problem with that, so I sat down and was eating my tea, then I nearly spat my coffee out when he rolled down the drive with a ruck sack on with my fookin spade and shovel hanging out the side, talk about commitment, I was pi$$ing myself laughing, it was a picture, he said he got some looks riding through the village, it's the most work he's ever done :LolLolLolLol: I am gonna have a look at their handy work tomorrow night :daumenhoch:
-
sounds like they have a plan Jon :daumenhoch:

Right update !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went and had a look at their attempts of building their own version of the "Redbull Back Yard Jam" setting and it wasn't nice, since then, the farmer has used the great pile of dirt on his fields :( but on a brighter note we have been campaigning for a BMX track within our village and have got the go ahead to build a regional standard track (we just need the funding now) so in the mean time I have arranged for 60 Tonnes of soil to be delivered to the site so we can build something for them to get RAD on :daumenhoch:

Sounds like you need to bring him to Terminal One with you bud :daumenhoch:
Me and my brother and all our mates used to spend all day every day at our local brook building ramps and doing stupid sh*t there. Timber sheets, pallets and anything we could get our hands on to make quarterpipes and ridiculously dangerous ramps and my parents used to worry sick about the stupid things we used to do, but they never stopped us :coolsmiley:
Awesome :daumenhoch:

It's great having 3 boys who are enjoying the same sport as I did BITD and it's good to know that fortunately the same kind of shinanigins ( spelling ) are going on, hopefully it will keep them out of trouble :LolLolLolLol: I wish I was 12 again :daumenhoch:
