I cannot be the only one who has to be a bit sneeky when it comes to perchacing BMX goodies! :D
My Mrs would go potty if she really new what was comming into the house! :knuppel2:
The hoping that the delivery will come when she is out, the bulsh1t given when she says what in the parcel? with the reply:`just got it to restore and sell on!!`try and make a few quid!! ???
to be honest I don`t know how i`ve got away with it!! I have to keep her far away from the paypal account!

My wife saw 77 paypal receipts the other day dating from only a couple of months ago.
Busted.
Had to get my Aerospeed cranks delivered somewhere else and I just hope my Profile forks get held by customs so I can collect them rather than her taking in the delivery.

;D I think I'm really lucky then, had 4 parcels arrive yesterday and she hardly batted an eyelid. :daumenhoch:
Even said the ET pads looked "nice". ::) ;D
Oh, and she also added "but you are only building a replica of a replica!" How rude! :2funny:

I used to have three bikes in the office at work. Then I moves jobs and sold them to pay for cars and repairs. I have a NOS FST there now with nearly all the bits but have yet to mention it to her yet but have mentioned a new one for Christmas. I never mention the cost though :daumenhoch:
-
It's amazing how much stuff arrives for my brother but I always make a fuss of posted out stuff being mine - honestly luv, I sell more than I buy.... >;-)
-
You are not a true collector until you start lying to the missus in my opinion ;) .
My Wife once said about 4 years ago "Sean, honestly exactly how many frames and bikes do you have?", she was shocked when I said "Well apart from the 12 bikes you know about and the 3 frames in the shed, I also have an extra 8 in the loft, 4 at my Mums, 2 at work, 1 in the boot of the car and 2 at the powdercoaters!!".

I have stuff delivered to Work/Mum's
I also store stuff I've bought at work/mums thats why I can never remember what I've bought :-[
Or get owt built :'(
-
a couple of years ago I had a mass of bikes stored at my Mum's house, VDC Changa, Haro Freestyler, Vector, PK Rippers, Quads etc... The wife never knew, we was visitng my mum one day and she saw one of the bikes, told her it was my brothers, who didn;t live there at the time, and also didn;t collect BMX's... :D Once told her I found a Hutch Trickstar down the local tip and paid a fiver for it... ::)
Always got stuff delivered to work, including my old Nomura, plus collected a lot of stuff too; my old Floval Loopy, Torker Cruiser etc.. They always cost less than £50 though, and how could she dispute it?
It's all gone now, except the Trickstar and a couple of others in the loft. Got too much for when another PK Looptail got delivered at home by mistake.. got home from work to be greeted by "what's this? thought you'd stopped buying more bikes?!"
it's a funny old game as Greavsie used to say

Guess i'm lucky, my misses don't really give a toss ... its the attention the lap-top gets she has a problem with :P

Always get deliveries to work and then put it straight in the spare room or garage.
When I eventually start working on a bike I say either, "i've had it for ages" or "I swapped it for that other part that I posted out last week"
It's great fun

Yep hiding bmx's is my second biggest hobby after buying them :2funny:

when i got there she was waiting with 2 other teachers, arms folded shaking their heads in disgust, didnt get laid for a month rather than the usual fortnight ;D
Postie knows better now :LolLolLolLol:

i've had to clean out the loft to bung in some loft insulation , been a few close calls, cos she insisted on helping ( unsure if she can remember her login for her rad account ) so a bit risky posting this :LolLolLolLol: :knuppel2: , amazing how big and heavy a box of stuffed toys can be, :LolLolLolLol: :-X ;)
-
my other half is ok she doesn`t mind the bikes just if i paid proper money for stuff but rarely do these days and only time she got pee d off was when she opened her suit case and found a set of wheels in there :LolLolLolLol: i forgot i put them in there to be honest .

+ 1 ::) i used to keep them at my company , then when all the building was done at home and the toy room was finished , i remember the day they all went home , it was earlier this year the day of the Royal wedding , rang the wife told her i'd be home for lunch n see my boys also mentioned i'm gonna bring my bikes home today ;) 3 LWB Transit loads later later  her face was a picture
but she did ask me the other day just how many do i really need ,,,,,,,,, lots was my reply ,
but to be honest she did loose it with me when i was playing in the toy room before totally finishing the house , all's done now so happy days :daumenhoch:

Thankfully my wife doesn't mind too much neither, i think she's more than grateful that i have a hobby as such. She'd rather i spent money on bikes rather than going to the pub, gambling or wasting it other ways. The bikes will always be worth something so if the worst happens then i'll always get my money back.
I am careful as to what i buy though. As long as i buy only what i need then they'll be no problems.
-
The issue I have is that I am trying to build 3 bikes at the moment and have pictures in my head as to how I want them to be. My PC is plugged into the LCD TV rather than a monitor and I stream most of what our family watches but I need to be seeing what is selling so as I can grab it when it comes up. The TV is split to 2 screens and the kids watch one half, Rad, The Museum, Ebay are on the other half and the missus is reduced to the lappy :knuppel2: :LolLolLolLol:
Now that doesn't go down too well with the fact that she sleeps with the 3 builds too and has to move it all around to get her clothes out the wardrobe etc etc..... :uglystupid2: :LolLolLolLol:
The girls love it though, they always have BMX parts in their hands :daumenhoch:
-
Terry I think your misses deserves a medal. You are certainly pushing the bounderys of married life there mate! :daumenhoch:
It must be love :smitten: :LolLolLolLol:

My wife encouraged me to get into OSBMX. :4_17_5: I don't bother to hide anything and she trusts me not to go silly. If she did mention anything I can always say 'you encouraged me to get back in to BMX'! She'll quite happily go to the post office and pick stuff up as well. She's just glad I've got a hobby and I keep myself out of mischief.
Happy days. :daumenhoch:

Mervrouw T doesn't mind as long as they're not all over the shop. That's why I bought a house with a big cellar. Only thing is, with a music studio and pool table, bar and chill room, the bikes are in my own way :-\
