Title: There is something fishy going on!
Post by: Discostu on October 21, 2011, 10:26 AM
I've just been sent an email stating that an item has been relisted on eBay.
It is listed as "dp firebird freestyler 1982 - 1983 old school bmx skyways nos gt cw's show bike"

This sold for £505 in the original auction. Which was a fair price seeming the seller advertised he had it for sale elsewhere at £550 no less.

Then it is back up on eBay with a buy it. Now price of £750 :idiot2:
Stating in the listing that it was re-advertised due to a dreamer. However he is now saying that it is advertised locally for £650 no less!!

So how come it is £100 more expensive? In one week!!!!!!!!! :idiot2:

Is it me or does this look a little fishy! :knuppel2:

If it is the one with no cranks then it is not worth £750 probably Schiller bidding a foot :angrysoapbox:

Yes it's the one with no cranks. I just can't see why the seller has relisted it at a higher price. Surely all the previous bidders will now be thinking something dodgy is going on :idiot2:

I agree it is not worth the asking price. It's not even a gl one!

got link ?

it's not one of those "i taken a picture from some one else's account and i don't own the bike at all ! but please send me the money anyway"  ;D

seems a few of these "i didn't get as much money as i wanted, so i taking it off or not selling to the last bidder - but i want more now and  i think the bmx comunity is despate for high priced gear !"

FISHY

if you think an item is has been shill bid even though youve won it....just ask the seller for the suspected shill bidders ID ( you cant see the bidders ID but you can see their rating by looking at the bid history)...if the seller refuses to give you that info then its a fairly sure bet it was shill bid hence the seller not wanting to give you the ID !...if its an honest and fair auction the seller would have no problem whatsoever in giving you that info !

Sounds bent as fook. He is probably stating the 'cheaper elsewhere' to try get someone to pay outside ebay too.
Can't stand bent dodgy twonks but at least it's a plus when some of them aren't to bright or too good at it. :uglystupid2:
