Fckn good stuff Top Man
Just tip the seat up a bit ,like a concord landing and it will be perfect.
One piece cranks forever.
Tin-Foil brake cables ??

its like a pitbull thats been neutered,
what is possibly one of THE strongest bmx frames ever built on account of its humungus scaffold bar gauge cromo tubes and top notch build quality,
a behemoth of a bmx frame,
with a 1 piece crank.....
-
::) is that a bad thing..
It will get a 3 piece crank soon - got my eye on some AZONIC's are they any good ???
-
One piece cranks rule...
I'm 14 1/2 stone and I have only snapped 4 One pieces's since I 've been ridin'.
The best bit is you can still buy them brand new for £9.99
Although no-one makes pedals for them anymore, haha.
Keep the Piece. L

not a bad thing,
it just seems at odds with the frames gargantuan weight and inherent strength,
i have totally the opposite experience with one piece cranks, i bent every one i ever had, a few didnt even make it through the first ride, the day i finally saved up enough for a set of profiles all that malarkey was finished,
a set of profile SS would suit that, powerbites would work too,
what happened to the brake bosses?
-
I will be going 3 piece eventually, maybe when it gets painted because I will not want to change much after then ;)
Brake lug was missing when I got the frame, think someone went new school on it :D
The lug will be getting sorted before paint so i can run a proper brake, if it can be done - looks like it threaded in, is that right ???
:daumenhoch:
-
Don't think the lugs are threaded in on an NG, what you can see is whats left of the threads from the inside of the lug. Mentioned it before - send it to Sawzall, he can weld you a whole new lug on there.
-
i'd go the sawzall route if the cost is viable,
you could, if you wanted to do it yourself, drill out the lug and tap the hole for some n/s thread in posts,
or just shave off the entire lug and use a 990 plate,
-
990 plate?
i work with top rate welder I will speak to him about it, I know Sawzall is the man so I will see what happens. 8)
The frame has a few dents too not sure if to get these sorted at the same time or just live with them ???

:2funny:
PMSL i wish , no ::) just having a nice cup of tea while looking seeing if there's anything to buy ;)
-
you can have me for £50 ???
:-*
-
I only ever had 1 piece cranks bitd, they were always bent but they felt fine until you got on someone elses bike whos cranks were straight. strange but your legs seemed to adapt to the bent crank and make it feel normal

Can't wait to have a blast on this on saturday Sid - saw this last week and it's ace :daumenhoch:

you used to be able to buy like a U-shaped steel plate with ad/U brake lugs welded on,
personal preference on the dents, i'd leave em,
-
nice one Sid liking that , would just get the lugs sorted, subtle placement of a bit of foil glued in place, then clear cote it :daumenhoch:
-
it was really light! I was like
glad you dumped those tyres Si :)
