Is it not the remake of Blue Peter's 'Tracy-island' ??? a bit of poster paint and some pipe cleaners and it's almost there. ;D
All joking aside Terry, i feel for you, i bet you paid good money for that and that is a proper p1ss take :knuppel2:

I Had a Frame turn up a while back in a black binliner with dropouts bent to f00k and chipped silly . Was not best pleased i tell you . But thats not much better and especially with a judge frame . :knuppel2:

that judge had one close escape their, not getting completely ruined.
in a wierd way, your actually a lucky chappie for it not being fooked.

No but it happend to me on a alloy for my RS...sticker plonked right on the face of the rim :(
I also had the same problem on a frame i bought with the rear dropouts poking out the packing, lucky for me it was chrome......just pure lazyness ::)
-
That packing is not too bad, except for the dropouts coming through the box.
I have had frames wrapped in bin liners before.
Did anyone get any of the mummified frames I used to post out?
I would wrap the frame in the bubble wrap, then cover the entire thing in 10 x 8" white sticky labels (I stole a box of rolls of them from where I worked)
I have a few framesets I am about to put on the bay.
What is the accepted packing method for them nowadays?
I had planned to wrap them in bubble wrap, then wrap that in brown packing paper.
Framesets are awkward things to pack.
-
Best wrapped ones are pipe lagging on on all the tubes/dropouts, then in a box with bubble wrap. Overkill, but that's how I've had a few from the States turn up :)

Some people deserve to be called Retards ::)
If packing a frame don't forget to use something to pack out the fork dropouts and rear dropouts :daumenhoch:
-
just waiting for someone to say they had a frame just arrive with an address sticker on it ;D
you say that but one of my trickstar`s came with a peice of cardboard around frame with my address on and that was it and was a whole bike and was left outside front of my house .god know how it didn`t go missing
-
It was NOS before it was posted.
-
I work for citylink, i saw a bike the other day that just had a sticker on the seat, no packaging at all.
it amazes me that people think they wont get destroyed.

I am relieved that they chose to protect the pedals :)
-
well i've been painting these old frames for years and after the emails from my customers asking for
a perfect job the frames have arrived in bin liners, carpet, bubble wrap easy jet blankets, pipe lagging
only and the worst one, masking tape :LolLolLolLol:
sometimes i would honestly love to paint there frames then send it back the way it came, i think it
would be a differant story :)
-
Terry I feel your pain :'(
If it had been a Haro , a GT , a Mongoose , a JMC, you could forgive them ::)
