Title: 84 gt performer
Post by: stu27 on October 28, 2011, 06:47 PM
bought this of me mucka sweetbeats, for a very tidy price
loved this bike when jase had it,but as soon as it was in my possession,i just didnt feel it,probably the downside to buying a bike complete,no fun in it really
anyhow after not knowing what to do with it,i decided on a re-jig and try to make it feel like it was mine
still unsure with the pedals though

Yep looks nice mate - see what you mean about the peds but I reckon whatever other colour you tried on the pedals it would look off and you'd end up coming back to silver  :daumenhoch:

Stu, if you told us you were gonna put red brakes and red details on a blue & yellow Performer we'd have laughed at you, but mate that is mint and looks so fresh compared to the straight yellow and blue :coolsmiley:

I'd be tempted to try a set of red pedals to see - but at the end of the day, black or silver are a safer bet if you don't have a set to try :-\

Love it mate - 1 million out of ten, now get it in BOTM for November when it hits and you've got my vote already :daumenhoch:

Spen

ps - have a word with yourself about that bloody chain.... :knuppel2:

I have to agree with Sweet beats, if you wanna build your bike with NOS repop's go for it. It'll certainly save you a few quid, and unless you're a purist it'll look the business.

Don't get me wrong, I'g love a trickstar, with ladder bars, Western stem, hutch flight cranks, beartraps, etc. But then I need a new car, and I'd get a bloody nice one for that sort of dough. ;)

Anyway, like i said.....loving the Performer, it looks top banana :)
