Been after one for ages but they only made a handful and once the run is done they don't make anymore :(
But after a few emails I managed to snag the prototype one that they had left. Should be with me next week and then its off to SBD!

Cheeky little number there :coolsmiley:
Saw these when they first came out :daumenhoch:
-
leave it raw. nice that its a prototype
would look awesome clear laquered
-
Very nice Rob, is it a race or Street model?
looking forward to seeing this one built up :daumenhoch:
-
Nice one Rob, what colour is SBD gonna be hitting it with?
Looking forward to seeing this built up.
-
what is it some sort of cool looking repro goose?
-
Cheers guys, its a street/park one Dan. It's a Knight bike co retro goose, modern geometry with integrated headset and AD lugs but with a motomag flavour :daumenhoch:
Not sure on colour yet though :-\
-
Would look wicked clear laquered
-
no bash guard ? what's happening pickle ???
no that looks sweet and gonna want to have a go on the london run when you bring it out >:D
-
Mongoose Blue :daumenhoch:
-
are you going with OS decals ? that would look cool 8)
-
ahh that explains the sale threads then - wondered what you had lined up next...
looks cool that - as others have said I think it would look brilliant with just a clear coat on, you could always cover it up later if you didn't like it
-
Clear is an option and yes, thinking about putting proper old motomag decals on her :daumenhoch:
-
I call first dib dobs >:D
-
Mongoose Blue :daumenhoch:
agreed, would look great in team mongoose blue :daumenhoch:
-
I call first dib dobs >:D
:LolLolLolLol: never going anywhere this one.........always loved candy red but its not exactly a standard mongoose colour. Not a fan of the blue :-\
-
anodised red ::)
-
Just tracked it on the FedEx site and its due for delivery next Tuesday! Gotta get through customs yet though.........fingers crossed that doesn't hurt to much :-\
-
Gotta do it an oldschool metallic goose colour, with the old decals!
Wicked frame, nice one.
-
Sweet frame :daumenhoch:
Wanted one myself but funds are scarce at the mo. Waiting on two sets of their sith ladder bars :smitten:
-
YELLOW
Cool frame :daumenhoch:
-
I like the look of a clear lacquer with OS decals on top - moto mag wheels >:D
-
Rob
Do you know what sort of numbers were made ?
-
No I don't know exactly peter but it wasn't many. They have just finished the GT performer 20" as well but that's more of an old school copy.
Will have to see the finish before thinking of clear coat but it does sound cool :daumenhoch:
-
metallic motomag blue or nickle ! 8)
-
ohhhhhh Nickle
Pickle's Nickle motomag :daumenhoch:
-
I was going to say get it plated :daumenhoch:
-
ooh yeah copper would look nice :daumenhoch:
-
nickle for sure would be minty nice
-
If you could find somewhere I'm guessing it would cost a bomb! It'll be clear or powdered but not sure yet.
-
I call first dib dobs >:D
:LolLolLolLol: never going anywhere this one.........always loved candy red but its not exactly a standard mongoose colour. Not a fan of the blue :-\
candy red was used on the team mongoose and the moosegoose rob :daumenhoch:
-
If you could find somewhere I'm guessing it would cost a bomb! It'll be clear or powdered but not sure yet.
It works out about the same price as chrome plating
-

heres a pic on vintage mongoose
http://www.vintagemongoose.com/gallery/index.php
john will be able to give you more details but i pretty sure the original was a candy coat over chrome but i think Dan can replicate it quite well in powder or paint (you would need to check with him) but me and him have talked about it in the past :daumenhoch:
-
Chrome.
Nobody does chrome bikes anymore.
-
Rob
My DeCoster is in candy blue which was done by Dan.

-
Hmmmmm red or blue?
-
Red like those bars I had off You :smitten:
-
Red for me but i think it would look the dogs in either red or blue tbh.
I saw these when they 1st came out, really liked them but never ended up seeing one built and was bursting to see one.
Really, really looking forward to seeing how you get on with this if the last one's anything to go by. :coolsmiley: :coolsmiley:
-

-
That's a beauty isn't it :smitten:
-
How about clear blue or red powder over raw? Nice compromise between old and new? Something like (not the same colour) as a Fit Eddie v3:

-
candy blue or candy red goose - how original....... :uglystupid2:
Just looking at the one's on the knight site so far they have been turned out in white, yellow, black and candy blue.
So the candy red, nickel or your suggestion of chrome would all be original bitd colour choices used for the 1st time on a knight retro goose build ?
Wouldn't doing one in red for the 1st time make it original?
Or have i missed a piccy
-
Great Score Robbo :daumenhoch: I am with you and dannywhac on the Candy red :smitten:

Just been speaking to the guy at Kight bike co and they only made 10 of each!! 10 park/street and 10 race frames so i don't think they'll be any others at the park :LolLolLolLol:
-
any plans to make any more ?
-

Can't wait till Tuesday for it to arrive! :D :D :D
-
I like the idea of the candy red or blue over raw Rob - could look very cool with original decals :coolsmiley:
The team goose did indeed come in candy red or candy blue 8)
The red moosegoose and blue team goose Andy posted up there^^^^^^ are both mine and are both original survivor finishes.

-
Amazing that gold goose!
How is it looking build or isn't it?
BTW Al's rapid transit makes Cook bro bars for new school rides, for sale on ebay or bmxmuseum.
Could maybe fit that Knight Goose...
-
I can see what you mean regards the oddy directors but 1. They're £150 and 2. I couldn't see any with lugs? And I'm not sure how they'd ride compared to my colonys.
-
I'd be tempted to do it in a Dirty Black - Rat Rod type look
But I ca also see it in candy red or blue
-

Hmm, I took a liking to the retro 20" GT Performer they do but I bet I'd get walloped with customs charges!
How quick was the delivery Rob? :daumenhoch:
-
yeah the 20" performer is more of an old school design rather than new school version i think, but nice though :daumenhoch:
Delivery was a week  :4_17_5:
-
yeah the 20" performer is more of an old school design rather than new school version i think, but nice though :daumenhoch:
Err, surely its built on the same design ethic as your Goose?
Integrated headset, 990 lugs, bigger rear drop outs etc so old school design with new school improvements? :daumenhoch:
-
the GT is about the best retro i've seen so far,i'm impressed, :smitten:
the goose is sweet but theres really only the seat stay junction and head tube plates that make it "retro"
-
The GT is nice :daumenhoch: that's a hell of a long steerer tube, You could get Three stems on there!
-
It's well cool Rob, I thought it had 10mm rear dropouts though? ???
