I have always wanted one of these since I was 14. Bought the frame & forks a couple of months ago & the powder coat wasnt perfect but I intend to use it so not to worried. When i restored my Kuw ET a couple of years ago most of the bits wernt suitable to make the Kuw original, id changed them over the years as & when things broke. So in the shed i have a rusty old set of mk1 Skyway EZ bars, ACS rotor stem, Skyway Spinmaster, a tuff neck 42t chainring & a rear Skyway tuff 2 with a suntour coaster brake. All perfect for a Prostyler.
The frame came with decals but not fitted, the seat tube decal was far to big so Del sent a set over, absolute top guy & thankyou once again! :daumenhoch: . Heres the frame finished:

the only bit of restoration I had to do was on the bars:

stripped:

Then undercost & gloss white

EZ Bars came with red white & blue skyway decals the same as a TA,i wanted to keep this baby pretty much black & white so i ordered a set of custom decals & stuck them on.

It was only when I sat back & admired my work that i realised that I had totally mucked them up. They are on back to front & upside down :o Bugger! Rollocks to it, removing them would prob mean the paint would also come off, so stuff it im leaving them as they are.
Other bits came on nicely, spinmaster & chainring etc:

I also had my original Skyway tuff 2 with a suntour coaster. It was faded & very yellow so i stripped that & stuck it in bleach for a week. Before & after:

Its not perfect but no cracks so it will do. I swapped this wheel for my old freewheel tuff when I was 15 down the local skatepark, the guy wanted a freewheel & I wanted to try a coaster. That would have been 1985. I also have a new freewheel tuff 2 thats persil white so I thought i'd build it with that first. Here it is after i put it together this afternoon:

Its pretty much done, I just need a chrome straight seat post & a white Eline UL or Perigrine or a Kashimax seat. They are all going for lots of money so it can wait for a bit. Its nice having something to look out for at car boot sales.
Shame about those dam decals on the bars....

Did you really use household u/c and gloss on the bars?
Only asking as if so it will probably go yellow very quickly......

Could be interested in the seat mate...
The white is rattle can Halfords appliance white, i've never known if to fade to yellow but if it does its a good excuse to redo them & get those decals right :-[

Out last weeked & gave it a bit of a hammering, coaster tuff now fitted ;) & I fitted a crappy new style seat until my new Elina arrives in a day or so.
I'm slightly worried about the forks, on a lot of builds the forks look like they are slightly bent backwards & thats the look ive always liked with Prostylers, mine seem to be normal & look slightly bent forwards, do you think they are not Prostyler forks? Heres a pic taken from the weekend with the wife on her...eerr 76 mk2 chopper towing the little un:

Lots of comments from people passing, though most wanted to talk about the Chopper :'( & one old lady said the white bike was a lovely new bike :D
I had to get the ET off the wall to fit a nos dia compe 890 so any excuse for a quick pic:
