I know there's a few Bassett fans in the UK so I thought I'd post my latest build...
It's still under construction...I'm looking for some NOS 26" gold hoops with no brake rub that I can build with an old Sachs Torpedo 2-speed kickback hub. If anyone else digs old Bassett stuff/history I recently started a Bassett topic and filled it with old ads, photos, and junk here...

Fantastic job.

Thanks!
Yesterday I picked up some NOS 26" gold Araya hoops! Now I'm just waiting on a vintage Sachs Torpedo Duomatic 2-speed kickback hub to arrive from Australia. In the mean time, I've got to find a front hub to use...maybe a Phil or Sunshine...not sure what to use yet...
Once I get the wheels laced up she'll be dialed in for years of cruising! 8)

I'll second that. I have to say that your bassett is one of my favourite bikes I have ever seen on RAD.
Once my Skyway Cruiser is built I might have to look for a 26" cruiser for myself.
-
Thanks for all the kind words! :)
It's a super fun daily cruiser. Right now I'm running 41-19 gears, so the low gear 56.1 inches and the high gear is 76.3 inches. It's a Southern California Classic with custom touches. Dig it!
Here's some old Bassett goodies for you...
