I'm tyring to remove the crank arms from a new school eastern bike so that I can get at the BB. Howver there are no pinch bolts on the crank arms , just the one that screws into the spindle. I know I need a crank removal tool but which one . I believe the cran spindle is one of the mutli spline variety and not an 8 spline .
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Stuart

This is a bit of a "rough" way to do it as there's a chance you could bugger your crank bolt threads up but if your just throwing them away then its ok"ish" to do it this way

A better way is:

Or this:

And here's the tool:

Thanks ,
I'd normally bash the bollocks out of it with a hammer but will purchase the correct tool this time..

Slap a good dollop of WD-40 on it use the socket extention method first

remove one crank bolt then tighten the bolt on the other side first, this will help get the spindle moving first if you don't have the correct tool.

I went with the "Socket Extension" method and simple and straight forward it was too ! :)
