Title: Another old git reliving his yoooof!
Post by: BASH69 on November 16, 2011, 02:47 PM
Well after having my last very expensive custom built mountain bike knicked, ive gone without a bike for a couple of years (apart from a motorised trackday variety  >:D ) ive decided to build the same bike i had as a spoty yoof!

It will mainly be used to ride to the shops and back with my lil lad whos just ditched his stabilizers and has realised how much fun 2 wheels is. Oh and the fact there is a small skatepark right on my doorstep is also a plus!!!

So ive found my Redline RL20 Prostyler bare frame - original 1984 version which will be off to powder coat in its original white finish asap.

Ive spent hours on Fleabay and also started buying some parts from the most helpful members on this very forum, cheers guys  ;)

Maybe even wifey will take the hint and santa will be sending some nice parts my way (well i can dream)

I havnt been so excited about a bike without a motor in years - as soon as i get some progress il get a thread and some pics up too!!

Based in Lichfield, staffs here by the way!

Nice to meet y`all  8)

Stew

Welcome aboard mate and enjoy the second time around.
Pickle is right though, many long hours ahead sourcing parts and losing your life  :LolLolLolLol:

This OS BMX malarky can work out more expensive than a track or dirtbike  :-\
