Title: who do I speak to about repostioning 990 bosses on a frame ?
Post by: monkeybat on November 17, 2011, 09:23 PM
Just an Idea im toying with.
I need to put 990 bosses on the upper bars of the rear triangle instead of down below by the chain.
Cheers Steve.

Dont think you would be able to re-use the old ones on the chain stays, Would loose to much material cutting/grinding them off. Time you source new lugs pay someone to do the work and repaint the frame.
You would probably be best of buying a new frame and selling the old one unless you have some sentimental attachment.
Does it have a brake bridge on the seat stays with a hole? You might be able to fit a U brake plate adapter :-\

Hi guys dont know if you see the Schwinn Hydramatic I got a few weeks back but allways wanted the Canadian Beast frame(which is like rocking horse Manure) which is the same design but brake mounts are in the other area.
Wanted a Red frame but I feel lucky to get this one so you see where Im going now.

A good way is get some cheapy forks (or frame) and hack them apart, stealing the lugs.
I have done that that in past.

I have one similar to the bottom one and I want to make it like the top frame.
