Title: Cleaning tyre walls
Post by: GT world on November 20, 2011, 08:21 PM
I have a pair of decent grippas that were fitted to another pair of recently aquired motomags  ;)

The tyre tread area is really clean but the skins are marked from what looks to be from the alloy.

Question is..whats the best way to clean these mothers without losing the colour and labeling :-\

Cheers Neil

I've always tackled tyre walls with the gentle application of white jif and a scrubbing brush... even more gently over the decals and a bit harder on the tough spots  8)

this exactly

and ive found that using the same technique above T-cut can get some more stubborn stains out, but not on white walls

personally always white and never yellow  :) - also may be called Cif now not Jif

Also try this stuff called Bar Keepers Friend... bit like Ajax but better
