Title: Wouldn't you sort the dropouts before chroming?
Post by: That Swan Guy on November 27, 2011, 06:25 PM
Cracking frame but just have a look at the rear dropouts!

What a shame they weren't fixed before chroming :(

Quote "Fork dropouts are near perfect, rear dropouts have a little wear under the chrome" No shit Sherlock!

I'm not having a dig at him, it even states it was done by the previous owner. But just a shame on such a frame set!

i believe he lives in both locations and has his collection split between the two,

i'm sure he probably bought it like that, the chromer should have turned the guy away, and said come back once repaired.

nice enough buy if you want a CW though.

Ten minutes with a vice,a file,a block of wood and a hammer would have made those loads better even without building back up with weld :wtf:

Marky, how much does it cost to have the dropouts done btw ???
