Title: VDC Gorila Short - Finished!!

This thing has been a lot of hard work.  Bought the frame set from quadpaul on here and it was in a bit of a bad way.  Chrome was totally shot and the seat post in it was stuck fast.  Went off to a friend for a few weeks until he found the time at work to make the repairs and then it was off to the chromers to be stripped before on the SBD for the powder  :daumenhoch:
I already had some decals spare that i got with my full size Gorila .. Cheers.. you know who you are  :daumenhoch:  and Del sorted me out with a couple that i was short ... thanks  ;)
I started looking for a set of cruiser Monkey bars and soon realised i'd be looking forever so gave up on that and found a guy over in US who had made a few sets of replicas .. these things are sweeeeet  :smitten:
Then the wheels ... the foookin wheels  :P  These things are supposed to use 24x1 3/8 .. so thats what i went after .. to say it's been a nightmare is an understatement!  Found these 28 hole rims after looking for ages for 36's.  they are real nice NOS arayas so i went with them .. then i found some nice Campy 28 hole hubs .. which came with the wrong axles .. so managed to source some campy track axles from US.  And what a pain trying to find spoke size for these .. you try it  :-\  oh .. and then try find tan wall 24x1 3/8 tyres!

Anyway .. it's been a challenge but it's finally done.. few pics in the house for now  8)

bang, zoom, take me to the moon, that is an awesome build, sounds like youve had a bit of a mare putting that together..well worth the effort though

I can't even begin to imagine how tough it was getting that wheel set together, and managing to find tan walls. Awesome work mate  :4_17_5:
