prep chrome ready for powdercoating.......?
-
The best way is to have it removed at the chromers ;)
-
wondered this myself ... to get a good candy colour it's best over chrome. I done it straight over a chrome frame before but you could literally scratch it of with your nail :-\ And sanding a key into the chrome would be a shame i suppose
-
if you're getting it done by dan then leave it alone as he will prep it for you :daumenhoch:

Like Andy says :daumenhoch:
I think Dan applies a silver powder coat first to create a superb bright even base for the translucent candy top coat :coolsmiley:
No need to do anything :daumenhoch:

i find a hammer and chisel works best

You can powder straight over chrome.
It gives a nice base too. Obviously make sure all flakey bits are removed.

I just powdered straight over the remaining chrome on the RL but the guy warned me it might not stay on as well.I'd rather of stripped it properly first but it's a rider ::)
