Got another two boot fair bargain's at the weekend, ones a new school DK, the others a black and yellow Universal with copy parts on it - copy CW bars, copy mushroom grips, copy suntour stem :wtf:
I'll try and get a pic sorted but, in the meantime, anyone heard of these rare beauties before, they're made in Rayleigh, Essex apparently? :)

Universal Bikes have a distribution warehouse in Basildon, on the BAS-VEGAS site, I pass it every day on the way to the Visteon offices (That great Automotive Supplier, who haven't made a penny in 5 years !! and you've probably never heard of !)
Maybe I should have a butchers in the Universal Skips to see if they have any 'copy' BMX bits ! :LolLolLolLol:

universal bikes are mostly shite - toys r us stuff
maybe source one or 2 good bits off one though.

:-\
So all my pikey boot fair mornings have earned me:
A Hammerhead Toys r us shiteheap and A Universal Toys r us shiteheap, damn!!
The £8.00 skyway tuff burner was alreet though, although the price was a bit steep :LolLolLolLol:
-
the shiteheap bikes often have usable generic 48 spoke alloys though
and if they are 1" headsets, then you have some headset cups to reuse.

My first bike was a hot red & white universal 16"bmx. I am pretty sure it is the best bike they ever made, I think theyve only done about 4 BMX's in their history. Early 90's standard shit 20" and 16"BMX. Early 90's decent 16" and 20" BMX, I think they were called panther. Then the late 90's chrome piece of crap with Gyro & pegs. All the ones since have been a variation on the latter.
Theyre distro is reese cycles who do probike and all them £40 full suspensions
