first note to markyp
Thanks for letting this one go
got the frameset a few weeks back and started to get parts for it , i had some parts but needed to refurbished
so i started whit a set araya 7x that where original silver but in bad shape and i got some sr high flang hubs that where beat up
i stripped of the silver anno, and sanded the scratches out of the sides they started to look good
Now i started something i hate but whas really needed
i started to polish them up and whas amazed by the result
damn that looked hot and shiney
after that i started whit the hubs and got the same result ... Fook me this is so nice to see awsome result when putting some elbow grease into a project
i got my asahi spokes and niples from jt smooth and started to lace them
the result is just awsome, these chrome wheel set would go perfect whit the untouched cw frameset
i started to get the bike in my head and thats how its gonna be
from a score i did last year i also bought 2 sets nos sealed Suntour euro bottom bracket sets
i placed it in to the frame and it felt like they where made for each other, perfect fitting, and perfect for the cranks i am going to use
i got the taste of stripping anno of and polish to show shine
so i also started to do the Suntour powerstem and the faded gold mx900 rearbrake :smitten:
So now i have the build in my head and thi sis what its gonna be
Nos frame cw zs and fork
Nos suntour Euro Bottom bracket
Araya 7x whit lf sr hubs both polished to showshine
Polished Suntour powerstem
nos Chrome cw bars
nos chrome straight seatpost
nos beartrap headset
Diacompe mx900 also polished
diacompe chrome brakelever
Cranks Not sure on these ones or suntour vx or ???
Pedals black shimano dx or polished suntour xcii pedals
grips gonna be ame tri black for now untill i find a set ame duals in black and white
Nos tioga 20x1.50 tyres ( it still is a expert size )
Refurbed kashimax areo in black
and chrome izumi chain ( almost here whit the chain for the e.t replica )
Maybe i add a suntour headlock to in black and chrome but not sure on this one
as you can see its gonna be a shiney bike
i am not sure on the padset i am gonna use
i wanted to chrome ones from juan, but whit the red and yellow cw writing on them
imagine this bike in your mind till i post some build pics

Thanks mate, i really love how this bike comes together at the moment
specially the chrome flite padset ( repro ) is awsome
The cranks and chainring needs to be cleaned and polished so a little work there
I really cant believe the size of the bike for beeing a expert, it feels like a pro frame when you sit on it
Waiting for some restoration decals and the pedals
-
cws always feel long when you sit on em ,theve got that mads seat tube angle ,used to love my zx pro and me cruiser :daumenhoch:
-
nice to see it built instead of gathering dust at my house, looking awesome so far danny :smitten:
-
what size are the bars pro?
-
28x9 they are huge
-
Is that 4 foot seatpost down hitting the BB shell Danny :D :LolLolLolLol:
Blingy build 8) 8) 8)
Definately get those red/yellow CW pads though, finish it off perfectly :4_17_5:
Love the shot with all the others :smitten:
Hmmm take my pick ::)

Thats a robinson straight seatpost its about 35 cm long :D
and indeed looking at the chrome filt padset i think it would look awsome whit the chrome red yellow padset
i also have to choose between suntour vx cranks or sugino maxycross
The suntour will match the bottom bracket and some other suntour parts but the maxicross are also a lush set of cranks to look at
it s a tough desicion ;D
-
Ok: Tomorow the cranks are gonna be on it. bling bling :coolsmiley:
-
cant wait to see it finished :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
might put my newest build on soon if i get decent weather to get some pics :daumenhoch:
-
same problem here also :tickedoff:
-
looks great Danny :4_17_5: really starting to get a feel of it.
I enjoy rest builds the most. Taking something that is tired, and bringing it back to life is the best compliment you can pay to something that has lasted 25-30 years. Great work :daumenhoch:
