Title: Gen1 DP Firebird Freestyler..finished
Post by: rollin72 on January 02, 2012, 06:08 PM
I got this last year off Steve Firebird, in need of some major work
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/pp287/rollin72/6e76dbc2.jpg)

Steve Animal offered to help so off it went to him, this is the amazing job he did on it

Whilst this was going on, I restored as much as I could starting with these dx's
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/pp287/rollin72/garage011.jpg)

they had 2p's as end caps which needed drilling out, re-shaping and painted
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/pp287/rollin72/Video2700017-30.jpg)

I restored and built a set of z'ds and z hubs, re-painted a set of DC 900's and levers, seat clamp, restored the kashi and stem, then the frame, forks and bars came back with a fresh coat of 2k and we ended up with...

DP Gen1 Freestyler frame and forks..restored
DP Ladder bars..restored
Original Uni Hand Grenade grips..restored
DC 900 calipers and DC tech5 levers..restored
Koolstop pro pads
DK stem..restored
NOS Epoch headset
ACS seatclamp..restored
GT layback..restored
Kashi Aero..restored
ACS Z-rims on Z hubs..restored and built by me
NOS Tioga Comp Ramp tyres
Sugino 1 piece crank..restored
Sugino machined chain ring
Shimano Dx's..restored
