I have been working on this deal for a while now and only a handful of people knew about it but it has only just been finalised and come together in the last 3 weeks or so making it the quickest build ever for me.
I was initially intended to get a normal serial numbered frame but Juan was good enough to let me have the Prototype  of which they made only 1. As of now this is the only frameset to have been built and released so i for one am truly stoked. It is also on the CW Wall's front page on Facebook with my name now officially listed on the serial number list.
http://www.facebook.com/groups/115900388428424/
As a few of you may have noticed by now :D i don't build my own bikes so Steve69 has done an awesome job of building it for me, top work Steve, you're a pal :daumenhoch:
Being a Re-Issue frameset i wanted keep to an almost entirely re-issue parts list to match not only the frames age but it's obvious undisputed heritage so used the best (in my eyes) that i could get hold of.

-
That looks fantastic, sweet as. Only tiny thing is I think it would look better with alloys ans not tuffs
-
I really like that Adam :smitten: not seen anyone do anything like that before concentrating on all re-issue parts. Is the Deep H a new one too?
-
cool bike.
i'd like to see it with spokes to but your bike ;)
-
why don't you build your own bikes?
-
cool bike.
i'd like to see it with spokes to but your bike ;)

-
looks stunning adam :smitten:
your house is fooking massive
-
It's a nice bit of kit Adam - nice touch using re-pro parts too :4_17_5: :daumenhoch:
Do have to ask though, why do you not build them? ??? I always thought it was a piss take :LolLolLolLol:
-
well i like the tuffs ... you could have done with getting your massive fookin shadow out the first pic though :-*
Not sure what the thumbsucker seat post clamps are like but JDB does re-issue full radius seat clamps now too :daumenhoch:
-
why don't you build your own bikes?
Because he doesn't and nice name. Looks sweet Adam :daumenhoch: nice to see a pic of ya house in the background and tell Zoe to change those bloody curtains >:D

-
Skyways look ace, spokes are for girls!
-
That is lovely mate and the tuffs look cool as but then again some blingy chrome rims would too. Its a class bike :daumenhoch: :coolsmiley:
-
Thanks guys.
To answer a few questions: I don't build my own bikes because i find it a dirty greasy job that i would no doubt get bored with in 5 minutes and rush it and snap something. I like sourcing the parts and getting something that there are very few of.
I kind of agree with the alloy rims and spokes BUT the whole thing had to be re-issue and i couldn't think of any re-issue rims, Bullseye Hubs yes but not rims (educate me if you can please) but i still loves the Tuffs.
I will get Zoe to change the curtains Pooch, they were only tempory to stop you looking in at all my bikes, shutters are being fitted next week ;D
I did know that Hutch done a Full Radius clamp Tel but i like the way i have stuck to a few CW parts, the Deep 'H' stem is a Hutch re-issue too mate...............................and as for my 'massive fookin shadow' :knuppel2: :LolLolLolLol:
Thanks
Adam

Agree with Pooch on the curtains though ....... shocking them , how much does the window cleaner charge  :D
You have trespassers in your garden too :P
-
Ads you already had my thoughts bud but I'll say again.....Gorgeous.
I also know that this landing on your door was probably the best christmas pressie you have had and the fact that Juan gave up HIS bike for you is the icing on the cake...
Well Done bud.

As a rule I don't like repro stuff on bikes :-\
but this full on re-issue replica build is bang on :4_17_5:
It's gorgeous , the frameset , the bars ,Tuffs etc
It works perfectly Adam 8)
I can totally understand your full on stokedness :D ;)
-
the bars ,Tuffs
Dubber, If you wank less your eyes won't get any worse but they wont get better either so lazer treatment is your friend
Adam, Super nice cruising bike apart from the tupperware wheels and chrome towelrail. :daumenhoch:
-
cheers :daumenhoch:
-
good work
steve adam :daumenhoch:
wondered when this was gonna pop up - went together faster than I thought!
thing about cruisers though is that you'll be falling off from a greater height than usual so be careful
-

-
Feck sake though who's got the biggest house on RAD :D
You or Neil VV ??? :D
Both are M O N S T E R
-
All you got to do now Adam is learn to ride a bike :daumenhoch: ;D
strange with a big house like that, that you would have one short old rusty clothes pole in that last shot of the garden we saw ??? Spen wife comment ;D
top score on that mate and it looks lush - lucky boy :daumenhoch:
now you can keep up with Pooch's long legs on the London ride >:D
-
As you can probably tell, Adam's photography skills don't do this machine justice, it really is a lovely bit of kit 8)
I'm very surprised with the amount of early posts regarding the dislike of the Tuff's being fitted :-\
When the Skyway ta24xl is finally released and they're built by their happy owners, you can bet your bottom dollar pretty much all of them will be built with Tuff's, will all you guys still say the same thing? Probably not :police:::)
Well done Adam.
-
I think that (m)Adam could get both - i like the tuffs on it and if they were 20's style then we would be more used to it - we always see TA24 with red or white tuffs so are used to seeing it - now we have a CW 24 with some on and some are just not sure
A nice shiny set of 24 spokes would also look sweet ;) 8)
-
Nice bike dude :daumenhoch:
like the reissue thing 8)
Think it needs an invert stem though, front end looks quite high ???
Not sure if theres any repop inverts though ???
-

+1 agree the front end looks a bit skywards, unless you're 6'6"?

In short Yes I will, however it is a matter of opinion and taste (and use dependent as if you wish to use it properly tuffs are fookin useless at best, especially 24" ones) I am pretty sure my opinion wont change when I see 30+ of the Tuff wearing fookers turn up on here, thats like seeing 30 fat birds in fake ugg boots when just 1 puts you off your Gregs pasty.
That said, as with most things in my life I am in the minority, lots of people love tuffs on cruisers and thats what counts. :daumenhoch:
-
I could be wrong but i think he only made a limited run of them
I think you're right Tel, I just checked his site and they're not advertised now. :(
I'm still happy with the way my stem looks though and it rides beautifully albeit not strenuously :D the position it's set up at the moment.
-
Another sweet build, I like it with Tuffs 8)
-
Them hutch cranks are nice
-

Mine will have spokes for two reasons:
1. The thing will be heavy enough with me on it :uglystupid2:
2. I'm waaaaaaaaay to fat for Tuffs
I've never been a fan of Tuffs :-\ but then BITD I was always into race
But if we all liked the same....the world would be borin :daumenhoch:
What ever way you look at it cool bike fella :daumenhoch:
-
top build ad :daumenhoch: or should i say lord of the manor :) are you sure your not royalty ;D nice pad mate ;)
-

Adam
Why hunt? Just get Juan to make you one...
Because:
A) I don't believe he is going to be making minis.
And B) I would rather have an original, there are enough of them around to have a chance of getting one whereas there is only about 4 known cruisers and they ain't going anywhere soon that's for sure so a re-issue was the next best thing, still genuine CW.

Nice build Adam, nice to have a story with it too and Juan's a top bloke :daumenhoch:
