At first glance, I would think that £556 (delivered) is quite a lot to pay for this, but perhaps Im missing something..

That is soooo overpriced it untrue , basically a frame.forks and opc ,,, the rest goes in the bike junk box

It's DP ,,, that probably needs painting and stickers

Fu##ing crazy money for a frame & forks that will need stripping & powder coating or re-chroming! I wouldn't have given £200 for it, all the parts were junk & only fit for the bin, is this what it's coming to now where people are willing to pay stupid money for a resto DP? I've seen Haro's go for less & in much better condition. This sort of overpricing will ruin this hobby.  :idiot2: :wtf:

If someone wanted it and paid it then its cool, the resto may be cheap if they do it all themselves. Cool yer jets people

Someone buys hutch cranks at £1500 and they get a pat on the back for being shrewd, now thats fooking amazing, special infact ;D

One mans junk is another mans treasure and all that  :daumenhoch: Who says the buyer wants to restore it? He/She might just clean it up and ride it  8)

I mean, it is a BMX bike after all and designed and built to be ridden  :daumenhoch:

Dp....gotta love 'em  :smitten:

Couldn't agree more, the argument that it deserves that ridiculous price because it's apparently rarer than a gen 1 Haro is bull sh!t, at the end of the day the DP freestyler was & is a nice frame set, but lets not forget that BITD they were a budget frame & fork set that cost £65 when they first appeared & the gen 1 frames were not that great to ride as the top tube was about 6 miles long & caused the frame to snap at the headtube, I should know because I had & broke one - the gen 2 was a much better frame . If some clown want's to pay stuuuuupid money for a wreck then so be it, the seller must think Christmas & all his birthdays came at once!!!! ;D :LolLolLolLol:

Lets then also not forget, that an ET Kuwahara was £200 for a full bike when new and from then until this day, they are the shittest quality bike Kuwahara have ever produced.

And let's not forget people that this is the way our hobby has headed, I got a NOS Aero Reflex frameset for £62 posted 3 years ago and look what they're fetching. The guy selling this is obviously not a member on here, he's chanced his luck on the Bay and it paid off for him.  :daumenhoch:

This begs the question as to the merits of ebay and its 'inflated' prices, and the effect of this upon the peeps looking to buy. Great if you're a seller but not if you're in the market to purchase. Is it me or have ebay prices for 'vintage' bmx items risen exponentially over the last few months?

I once had the intention of putting together a supergoose 3, but the way things are going now I'm dreaming  :(

any yank tank or jap crap cost more than the most popular of british 80's specialist freestyler  because of 2 small things !! tax and shipping, funny how people overlook small stuff like that which bump up the prices of stuff, now if you bought a dp in 86 and shipped it to say california and paid all them uncle sam taxes your american would be going jeez its more than a haro f+f......yer get me ?? :Great_Britain:

Ive got to agree. These are not rare. I went to flint a few weeks back. It was the only time I had been there. And I saw loads being ridden. Far more were about than haro's. I felt a bit out of place with my master.  Apparently a lot of them from that area came from the skip that used to be outside the factory.  :daumenhoch: :LolLolLolLol:

Stu, the look of disappointment on your face as you trailed along on your Haro was painful to see. :'(

Cozzfather  :) ace to see you back buddy and i saw your ebay listings thinking you must have found some old ford treasure to fund ;)

Im not feeling all this hate over a bike none of you were bidding on or even like?
So what if it went for big cash, if i had one bitd and earned mega bucks id pay what ever to get what i needed or wanted.
Thought they were white pool tyres and is it xc2's. I have seen f+f's going for £300 so a few more quid for a few more bits LOL

I ride mine daily and its not horrible to ride at all and its longer than anyother one Steve (firebird) had in his collection or even seen. Unsnapped mk1 chrome in original state so wonder why its not snapped on me  :daumenhoch:

 :Great_Britain: made and  :4_17_5:
