Title: Futuristic black hutch trickstar relisted on eBay?
Post by: Discostu on January 22, 2012, 07:06 PM
Last week a futuristic black hutch trickstar sold on eBay for £455. Then this weekend it has been relisted again?  But this time it has an extra pic. And a new comment. The seller has quoted that the frame is in tip top condition with no rewelds, dents etc. but further down in the listing he states that the rear brake bridge might have been repaired. But he is unsure.

So I take a look at the pics and the welding on the brake bridge is shocking!!  It looks like pigeon shit! And the plate isn't even straight!
How can he say he doesn't know if it's been repaired or not? It's bloody obvious.  :2funny:

I guess that's why the last winning bidder didn't take it!

Having said that someone has already bidded £400 for it

I'm amazed!!

I won it and the bars last week.  Went to pick it up yesterday and found that brake bridge so told him i didn't want it.  Also i asked him before i bid last week if the drop outs were ok and he said no issues .. they are chewed up to fook on the frame  :-\  all the decals are hanging off it too . .they all need replacing.
I wasn't too happy about driving there to find all that  :tickedoff:

I thought that maybe the case. How can he say he is unsure whether it has been repaired. It's bloody obvious!! :knuppel2: :knuppel2:
The dropouts are fooked as well. They get bigger!  :2funny:

It makes you think what else is going on under that hammerite finish. I'm sorry I mean futuristic black paint job!  :LolLolLolLol:

Yes I agree Darren. But someone has bid £400 already!
With 5 days to go!  ???

I wonder if that is a bit of early shill bidding? Or someone that is pretty dumb!  It's only worth half that price. Just for the forks! :daumenhoch:

was about an hour round trip and then half hour talking to him so a right inconvenience tbh.
Bit gutted as it's exactly what i wanted .. the better version of the overseas frames in the finish i wanted too .. you don't see those versions around much
