Title: Old man syndrome, just saying hello
Post by: Sink on January 22, 2012, 09:21 PM
Just saying hello, finally got to register after weeks of closed registration :crazy2:

I'm old so into old/mid school. Current ride is a 2000 GT performer retro'd up, also just building a generic (GT style) frame old school ride for my youngest son. :)

that looks good mate, If you take a grinder to that horid seatclamp Ive got a lovely chrome GT seatclamp that would look sweet on it, and Ive got some blue anno copy DC1020's that would go well on it too, cheap cheap

Oh sounds interesting, shoot me a PM with the details.

I've sorted a seatpost of sorts, I cut the post off an old stem, made a nice chrome stumpy  ;D I've Just taken it round the block and its not a bad ride, very light and easy to hop.

It is very similar indeed. The frame had a couple of decals on still, Concept cycles ltd, on the head tube and Norseman on the down tube, also a hand built decal on the seat tube, I've tried google but come up with nothing!! would be interesting to see how it was new.

Added a pair of NOS Acorn Mags, these are a cream colour, hoped to bleach them, but think it wont make much difference :crazy2:
I may dye them at a later date, but leaving it for now!

What do you think? Think my boy will be happy with it! :)
