Just wondering what the '7' stands for ???

Obviously the letter (B,C,L,X,W and so on) is the code for the construction/profile, can't be a date as they didn't all come out at the same time.

Is it the possible grade of alloy? or something more random?

Anyone know? not that it matters, just wondering ::)

Are there 7 models/rim types..??  :-\  :-[
