Import duty and VAT depends on the value stated on the customs form .. handling fees are only about £8

Shipping won't effect it unless they include it on the value .. tell them not too .. tbh i always just ask them to put the value as $20 on the customs form and you avoid all fee's and hold ups

Import duty is about 12% for a bike and you'll get charged vat on the postage as well as the bike. And parcelforce pay your fees and kidnap your parcel. They add another £8-£15 for themselves and hold the bike hostage until you pay them. Should be illegal IMO.
