Welcome in anyway :daumenhoch: try burnerworld.co.uk, they'll give you a more accurate price guide being a forum specifically for burners, but do stick around on this forum too! :)

Welcome in. You're looking at circa a grand for a complete mk1 pro burner. More if you start from a frame and forks

Super rare and very expensive when they do come up. I think someone had one for sale on here not too long ago if I remember rightly.  Good luck with finding one buddy, they are very scarce indeed  :(

Yep, they don't come up often at all - less than 50 have ever been found. I'd register on burnerworld and raleighburner.com to put the feelers out, but your best bet is keeping an eye on eBay  :daumenhoch:

As said above, you're looking at over a grand for a complete, un-restored. Still on my list of builds to do - they don't come much prettier than a mk1 Pro  :smitten:

They do turn up, but most people that currently own that 50 - don't want to part with them. eBay is your best bet. Towards the end of last year, quite a few sprang up from peoples sheds :daumenhoch:

Post by: banta on February 02, 2012, 06:51 PM
lets hope more people empty there sheds.was that right thay go for over a grand for a complete bike ???

Yeah - certain parts, the Raleigh stamped hubs for example, are rocking horse  :LolLolLolLol: you're looking at about £500 for a frame and forks alone, and to build one to spec from that will cost a lot more than buying a complete.

Post by: banta on February 02, 2012, 06:58 PM
not cheap then.it sounds like the money isnt the biggest problem.its finding one in the first place.j

Post by: rad_pitt on February 02, 2012, 07:03 PM
Yeah, you may have to wait longer than a month!

Here's the MK1 Pro register, think it's just tipped 50 found. Cool pics in here, and spec differences from the phase 1 & 2  8)

http://www.burnerworldforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=93

Well worth registering over there mate.

The R gusset had a thing for cracking which is why there's not many, if your son is going to be riding it round a lot and quite hard there's a chance it could break.

I reckon that would piss me off if I had just spent a grand...!!
What's the alternative...??

The pro and aero pro are both bmx's you could use properly I'd say, but if I were you banta, I'd get something like a haro master or a skyway ta or something :daumenhoch:
