Nice. Why split? That's a nice ride as it is. :)
-
interested in the pads if you dont keep them please tom
love the db btw
-
Nice score - always liked them cross-bolt's thought they looked like a good idea for a top-loader :)
If you get shot of the bars/forks you should see if Mdbh wants them as he's just picked up that Trail Boss.

It is a real shame to split that dirt bike, it is the fooking nuts!
If you do decide to sell the profiles second dib dobs :daumenhoch:
-
thats nice straight bike as is there.love the tyres too not seen them before
-
pretty sure its a late 96-98 at a guess, im sure someone will chime in with correct date.
My third yellow dirtbike, got all the stuff in the attic to rebuild it how I want, cant wait til summer

It could be earlier than that. Oversized Dirtbikes didnt really change. I think the first ones were out in late 94 and apart from the NG ones, they were much the same for the rest of the 90s (as far as I know :-\)

according to the parts and year made guide thread, backyard and custom riders only had 1in s&m's in the dec/jan 94/95 issue of ride
but they did have aheadset s&m's in the oct/nov 95 issue of ride
so it looks to be they were made in late 94 and shipped to the uk early to mid 95 :daumenhoch:
my red one is a 97, then you have the next gen frames, then for some reason they went back to the normal oversized version but added a standard style gussett and plated over the chainstay tubes by the bb shell

You could keep the Profile's on it and sell me the tires and P/A's.
Looks awesome Cap'n
