just purchased one of these and need to know how to fit to a tuff2,do i need to buy alloy hubbed tuffs and change the centre or is there a way to put a coaster in my plastic middle tuffs?? if that makes sense any help appreciated,thanks..
-
Yes you need to get Alloy hub tuff, back or front & drill out the rivets & bolt it in, do you have the bolts ? if not I may have some spare :daumenhoch:
Also take photo's of the rivets & post them on here before you drill them out, because you have to drill a certain side out :)

Don't think you can just put a coaster into any tuffs :-\ unless it's one of the complete Suntour ones that have the brake and flanges built together ???
-
Is it one of these that you've bought ???

You are right Paul, I assumed this was the type that kjilaja was referring to ??? but good point :daumenhoch:
-
the one in the pic looks the same as what i've just bought, what are my options with this?
-
You need an alloy hubbed tuff (front or rear) and drill the flanges off but be careful as Chris points out there's a right and wrong way of doing this :daumenhoch:
Then the suntour one just slots in through the gap and twists in't place lining up the rivet holes ;)

you cant put it into the tuffs you bought from me nick
they would have to be steel or alloy rear mate i reckon
