Title: Which other axles will fit shimano dx pedals?

Has anyone found anything that will do the trick? I have some 1/2" dx's, i know the 9/16 axles from shimano sx's are the same, but what about victor dx's, wellgo dx's, S&M dx's? Are any of these the same axle? Advice needed please... Whats your experience?

Some one did find a straight swap i think - jaymz or discostu was it  ??? ?

I've just changed the axles on a set of Shimano SX's to 9/16 and used KKT AMX pedals which are a straight swap.

If SX's fit in DX's then these will work perfectly.  :daumenhoch:

I also have a pair of Victor DX's (1/2") and they seem the same size too but I haven't had them apart so don't quote me on that. Also, they're a lot harder to find in 9/16" than the KKT's.

get yourself to halfords and buy a set of alloy halfords fpd platform pedals

the axles, bearings, bearing cups, cones & cone lock nut all fit into the dx body, ive restored 2 pairs of dx's this way :daumenhoch:

They also work for SX's as on your advice i did my SX's to 9/16, hence why i have a set of shimano spindles for sale!!!!

Here's another - if you trim off the last three threads from the ends of those axles (pop a nut on threaded down to the bottom, dremel off and unthread) they'll even fit Peregrine pedals n'all :)

Pretty sure they fit Ed. I've seen that elsewhere.

I've just swapped some Shimano SX spindles, and they work perfectly in DX :daumenhoch:

All this pedal swapping, Anyone have some nice SX bodies going spare, Either Victor or Shimano?
I've got some 1/2 SX here that are rough and could do with some cheap tidy bodies :daumenhoch:
