Guys need a lil help has anyone done thier own smoking on chrome parts for a Diamondback Formula 1?
Just picked up a nice lil project but all the parts that are coloured blue over chrome need a refurb so hows it done? Also the smoked 890 brake and tech 3 lever was missing so i was hoping to smoke a silver one, any help with this to would be great :daumenhoch:

I've read Diamond back didn't produce the Formula one in Smoked chrome , only standard chrome
Koisumi only made their Prototype for the Formula 1 in smoked turbo finish apparently
The finish on yours won't be a factory original , so no worries about having to reproduce it :)

before - all original 8)

After - changed the post because, the chrome was flaking.

Also the blue parts headset like the headset could do with a blue coat again on the chrome.
Spokes and nipples have had it to, managed to get some asahi spokes but i dont suppose ill have any chance of getting the blue nipples so need to have a go at them to.
Anyone got any idea of how to do this?
This is what i picked up :)
